EPSA was founded on 17 November 1999 in London, initially by 24 European companies and is today the main organisation representing the European manufacturers and distributors of platform lifts and stairlifts. In 2011 EPSA extended membership to compenent supplier companies and installation companies, all of which are closely associated with the final product.
The EPSA secretariat i sbased in the UK. The grgowth in membership has been healthy and today 11 Eoropean countries are represented through EPSA membership.
